Ticket sales start for the Longines Global Champions Tour leg and for the FEI European Championships in Dressage & Para Dressage, Riesenbeck (GER)

March 9. 2023

Riesenbeck International is starting a top-class show year: Tickets are now on sale for the only German leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL team series (July 21-23) and for the FEI European Championships in Dressage and Para Dressage (September 5-10).

Both events would have what it takes to be the top event of the year on their own. If now two such highlights - moreover in the different equestrian disciplines - are held at one location, that is more than remarkable.

"We started in 2015 with our equestrian center Riesenbeck International. At the time, we would never have dreamed that seven years later, at eight-week intervals, first the world's best show jumpers, then the best dressage riders would be our guests," says Karsten Lütteken, who will be show director for both major events.

"It will be challenging weeks for us," Ludger Beerbaum, the host, is also certain. "We will be challenged twice as Team Riesenbeck International at the Global Champions League. Of course we want to provide perfect conditions for our colleagues at the only leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Germany. And as a team, we want to offer the fans great sport and a good result at our home event." The 5* tournament offers three days of top sport with the best show jumpers from all over the world beyond the highly endowed series.

In the time between the two tournaments, the grass stadium will be converted into a clay arena for the dressage riders. "Everything is moving together, a grandstand is being built into the arena," reveals Karsten Lütteken. This way, the spectators will also experience the dressage competitions of the international elite up close. The para dressage riders have the opportunity to hold their competitions in the immediate vicinity, but still protected from all the hustle and bustle in the large sand arena in front of the event hall. Here, too, the spectators are very close to the action.
