Team Riesenbeck International secures fourth season win in the Global Champions League

September 12. 2026

A month after the last Global Champions League leg in London, Team Riesenbeck International continued its campaign in the neighbouring Netherlands with the eleventh leg of the season. In Valkenswaard, team manager Ludger Beerbaum sent Maximilian Weishaupt and Marco Kutscher into the large grass arena for the first round. Earlier, the team’s third rider, Philipp Weishaupt, had already won the individual competition with Callao L and qualified for the Grand Prix on Sunday.

Riesenbeck International was the penultimate team to start on Friday afternoon. Weishaupt and Zuccero HV got things underway with a clear round, while Kutscher and Pikeur Lemar NRW also delivered a faultless performance for the team. Three teams completed the first round without faults: New York Empire, Madrid in Motion and Riesenbeck International.

In the second and decisive round for the top ten, Riesenbeck International once again relied on the same two combinations from the first round. While several pairs encountered difficulties and had to accept faults, Weishaupt and Kutscher kept their cool, delivered two confident clear rounds and initially moved to the top of the standings. The podium was already secured, but Madrid in Motion and New York Empire could still challenge Riesenbeck International for the win. However, both rivals made mistakes on the demanding course, securing victory for Team Riesenbeck International in the Global Champions League leg in Valkenswaard.

Ludger Beerbaum was delighted with his team: “Chapeau! A truly outstanding performance from Max, Marco, Zuccero HV and Pikeur Lemar NRW. It’s a real pleasure to watch you ride!”
