Riesenbeck International kicks off the international outdoor season

Kathrin Stolmeijer wins the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck

The final week of March delivered great weather for the second international competition of 2025 at Riesenbeck International. Over four days, the event hosted roughly 130 riders and 325 horses who represented 22 countries.

The competition kicked off on Thursday with a victory for Germany’s Selina Höger and Knight Rider 3 in the Large Tour FEI Group D ranking class. Germany’s Felix Haßmann with Conthargo PS and Marcus Ehning with Sandenal followed Höger in second and third place.

On Saturday Germany’s 19-year-old Max Paschertz and Foodfox’ Cathilde H triumphed to victory in the Medium Tour finals with Felix Haßmann and Mon Genuartt claiming second place, while Max Paschertz also secured third place with Foodfox' Amerigo vh Zandershof.

Sunday’s Small Tour Final saw Columbia’s Ruben Arroyave and Chance for Final ride to victory, while Germany’s Niklas Engemann with Neugschwents Valentino and Angelique Rüsen with Sherran WI claimed second and third place.

Germany dominated in the light tour finals as Jette-Annabelle Grolle and Crazy Gerd claimed the win, followed by Alexandra Tebbe with Skala ST and Felix Wassenberg aboard Jofra

Whereas in the Youngster Tour Ireland and Denmark prevailed. Ireland’s Ciaron Nallon secured first and second place with Little Specials In Red M and Allegro Z, followed by Martin Dinesen Neergaard with Special Fighting in third place.

The show culminated on Sunday with the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck, where Germany’s Kathrin Stolmeijer and Tamuin LS prevailed in the eight horse jump off. Germany’s Angelique Rüsen followed in second place with Jardessa and France’s Yann Chartier Capitaine rode to third place with Quino Star.

In the coming month Riesenbeck International will host a two-day Late Entry show on April 8th -9th followed by another CSI** on from May 22-25.
