From May 7–10, riders once again traveled to Riesenbeck from across Germany and Europe to showcase their horses in the large grass arena. It was the final international competition in Riesenbeck before the Longines Global Champions Tour, which will take place from July 16–19, 2026.
The action began on Friday in the sand arena with the Youngster Tour and the 1* Tour classes. Tim Rieskamp Goedeking and the 7-year-old IB Qualito II became the first winners of the weekend at Surenburg. The first class in the grass arena was the opening competition of the Medium Tour, won by Brazil’s Lucio Viniciu De Oliveira Osório aboard Birco Von Seeder. The victory in the Longines Ranking class stayed in Riesenbeck on Friday afternoon, as Philipp Weishaupt and Callao L, who had already won the Grand Prix at our previous CSI** event, claimed the class with a lead of almost one second. Josch Löhden and Ciarán Nallon followed in second and third place.
The first two classes of both the Light Tour and the Small Tour were dominated by two German riders. In the Light Tour, Johanna Beckmann and Noblesse Z won the opening two classes. In the Small Tour, Greta Reinacher and Inola de la Cense secured victory on both Friday and Saturday. The Medium Tour Final was won by Leonie Böckmann and Flo Jo, who delivered two clear and fast rounds. The German rider had already secured second place in the Medium Tour the previous day with Flo Jo, finishing behind Josch Löhden and Quality Choice.
The highlight of the show was the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck on Saturday afternoon. Seven of the 38 horse-and-rider combinations qualified for the decisive jump-off. In the end, it was Riesenbeck-based Irish rider Ciarán Nallon and Megalon K, who had already finished third in Friday’s Ranking class, who emerged victorious in the Grand Prix. Second place went to Ruben Arroyave and Diarona PS. Third place was claimed by Josch Löhden, who once again achieved a top result that weekend, this time aboard EIC Schabernack. The horse had already finished second on Friday.
